Gnabry Scores Four As Spurs Suffer Historic Defeat

Bayern Munich Crush Tottenham 7-2 in Champions League Humiliation

Gnabry Scores Four as Spurs Suffer Historic Defeat

Munich and London

Bayern Munich have recorded their biggest-ever away victory in the Champions League, thrashing Tottenham Hotspur 7-2 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday night. The result, which is Spurs' heaviest defeat in their entire club history, saw Bayern's Serge Gnabry score four goals, while Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller, and Joshua Kimmich also got on the scoresheet. Substitute Ryan Sessegnon scored twice for Spurs, but it was a mere consolation on a night of Bayern dominance.

The result leaves Bayern top of Group B with six points from two games, while Tottenham are rock bottom with just one point. The teams will meet again in the Allianz Arena on November 1.

The English media has reacted with dismay to Tottenham's humiliation. The Daily Mail described the defeat as "a disaster," while The Guardian called it "a shambles." The Times said that Tottenham were "outclassed and outplayed" by Bayern, while the BBC said that the result was "a nightmare" for Spurs.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino admitted after the game that his team had been "outplayed" by Bayern. "We need to learn from this and improve," he said. "We have a big game against Manchester City on Saturday and we need to focus on that now."
