Early Life and Education

Farja Farvardin was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1978. She left Iran with her family at the age of 12, and they settled in the United Kingdom. Farvardin earned a degree in psychology from the University of Sussex and later went on to receive an MBA from the London School of Economics.

Career

Farvardin began her career in the technology industry, working for several startups before founding her own company, Bebak, in 2006. Bebak is a social networking and e-commerce platform that connects Iranian women with businesses and services.

In addition to her work with Bebak, Farvardin is also an active advocate for women's rights. She is the co-founder of the Iranian Women's Network (IWN), a non-profit organization that provides support and resources to Iranian women.
